Apples and Ice Cream

Landy dug in the dinner bucket and
found appy. He's sharing, as per
Daddys teachings, with his little bro

This one was actually first but...

This, my friends, is home made ice cream.
It's sooooo good.

You can even see the look of contentment on this feeder hogs face. He really enjoyed this paste. This was the first batch, made yesterday, and was pretty runny. Today's stuff was much more frothy and thick. Feeder hog said something about his stomach roiling and groiling.

Such good paste! Soggys been doing a wonderful job of getting the snow. Internet instructions said something about not getting dirty or yellow snow and I think hes been doing a pretty swell job of that. I hope that snow don't go gunny bags on us, or we'll be out of ice cream for nigh onto a year.

Even the little fellow likes it. By the way Soggy and Moldy ourselves have been making this wonderfully frothy after supper treat.

And for Kugga. mix 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 cup cream, 1 teaspoon vanilla until sugar dissolves. then add while mixing 8-10 cups snow. or more, or less until you have achieved your desired thickness

The Great South Dakota Squirrel and 'Bit Massacre

'Bit and Squirrel families across South Dakota are in mourning and shock today after two assasins know only as "Mean Moldy" and "Savage Soggy" decimated the ranks of the poor cute defenseless little critters today. The photos above show the victim. At last count there was 7 'bits and 2 squirrels. The alleged snipers were reported to be armed with a savage chambered in .223 and a remington in .243 whilst backing themselves up with .357 and .45 caliber pistols, respectively. "They just came barreling up in Cummins Megacab and started flinging lead indiscriminately" said Peter T. Cottontail, a lucky survivor. Indiscriminately perhaps, but with deadly precision. If you have any information regarding the suspects you can call 1-800-MS&EINC

Coy dogs

There are important things to know about coyotes. How to call them, how close do they need to be before shooting, or in this case simply being able to identify the healthy ones. It's really no fun to shoot an injured or unhealthy dog. More info to come soon.

Proposal: Coy dog sniggling

So the story I'm getting is that Moldy scares all the coyotes away just as Fatty does. My proposal is as follows: Soggy and I go hunting for coy dogs if we want to get anything and Moldy and Fatty go together if the local law enforcement wants a new speed record out of a coyote or needs to test a new radar gun. Or possibly needs to see how many gears above 5th that a coyote has. So frustrating aye Soggy? Ernie

Hunting

Well today the adventures of M&S continued. We went out coydog sniggling and happened to come across a squirrel, so Moldy honked the call a few times and treed the squirrel where it promptly met its demise in the form of an 80 grain .243 caliber chunk of lead fired from Debbies high powered rifle. A while later we saw a coydog in the road at approximately 200 yards, moldy once again honked on the call and the coy responded by hitting road gear and tearing out of there like Kugga when someone says bedtime. The moral of the story is this: if you want squirrels let Moldy do the calling. If its coys youre after, better leave it up to Soggy.

Some of yesterdays things

Making dinner. (M&S)

The famous birthday cake flipper.

Wonderfully decorated pan-CAKE

The presentation of the wonderfully flipped birthday cake.. Received with great enthusiasm

watching "Oggy game". someone got excited

Still only 2 degrees with a 25-30 mph sw wind. Didn't see any coy dogs today- I think Soggy scared them with his "dying rabbit" sounds. By the time he got done blowing on that thing I didn't stand a chance at calling any back in. Oh well, I just won't let him drive the thing next time and them dog's will come a runnin.

Fatty losing me coy dogs!

So this is my brother Fatty. Lately he has been causing me to not get coyotes and boy is it FROSTING me! So far in the past week he has caused me to not get four of them. First case he went up Wilson road with no gun and scared one up. He should have known not to go before me especially without a gun. Who goes anywhere without a gun anyway? I went through the whole shooooooooooooooot! process and some mmmeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaannnnnn is that frustrating! and some fist shaking hoping it would sink in. Second case, we spotted some coyotes heading in the opposite direction so we headed around them and scared them back and then headed back to starting place. I got there before him and just dropped the crosshairs on the coy dog when Fatty came tearing up on the fourwheeler sideways plowing snow. Obviously the coy dog disappeared like Fatty when the cook hollers dinner. HAHAHAHA! So that one was gone. I'm getting frosted all over again so I'm gonna quit writing.

Important post!

Perhaps the most important one I'll ever publish. Debbie (my wife of many years) is celebrating her 23rd birthday today. Not really celebrating it- we went to applebees last night. Ok other items of interest. It 9 below with 35mph gusts hers. Maaaaaaan are the coy dogs going to be hungry when this storm eases just a little. We'll have 'em stacked high.

technical difficulties

Apparently our adoring fans couldnt see our latest video offering, well we got that fixed quick fast and in a hurry. Feast your eyeballs

Another snowy day, and sun dogs

This is a sun dog. It's created in cold temps and blizzard like conditions. It was -4 at noon and now it's about -10 with gusts up to 40.
Little Kolgy sleeping with M. Ah coat and a boot and a book

Soggy shoveling for our outdoor rink. He ran shovel for many hours and in multiple places- we still don't have a rink. If you don't understand this it probably don't pertain to you.

In other news: we got a distress call today so starting when this storm lets up a little we are plannin on massacring the coy dogs. In my school for me taught by me I have graduated at the top of my class at calling. Just need to see if the dogs know how good I am.

Up in the Simcoe Mountains.

This is our snowmobiling trip. We got about 1/2 mile from the pickup and Fatty started his snowmobile on fire so we had to head back. Then we got stuck and then it looks like my DPF got cracked.;) Maybe I just need a couple turbos!
Its been snowing since last Saturday night and it has snowed every day since. We now have a total of eight inches. Last night Fatty and I got the snowmobiles out and went for a little while in the Simcoe Mountains. Soon as he finishes making me dinner we are going again.

This is my dear sister Kukka. She is famous for sleeping from anywhere from noon to four or five in the pm. Here is a astonishing photo of her on the 19th of December at 8:49 in the am!!!!! This photo has been inspected by professionals and is the genuine article.

Shooooot!!!!

gtt-0y=,
M & S decided to take a break from all the side work they had been doing of late and go assess the damages that blizzard had done. Well when we got to the twin-home we was like: shooooot! and maaaaannn! soooooo frustrating!!! There was ( and still is) huge snowdrifts throughout the house some of them brushing the rafters and exceeding heights of 8 ft. ok drt

Just another day

Here's the start to a wonderful blog. This is Moldys little fella. Kinda handy to have him around. There is a lot of snow here and its cold. Can't start equipment to move it, 4 foot drifts in the house and trusses are standing (they were this morning anyways). Because of the weather myself and S. have been to Sioux Falls twice this week already. Christmas shopping, we say but it also helps stave off any signs of boredom. Well I'm sure there will be a few more updates by the time night is over (supposed to get more snow tonight so prob no work tomorrow)
